I’m pretty risk averse when it comes to major changes to my hair. But the arrival of a new season is a good reason change things up. After flipping through DIY Dye: Bright and Funky Temporary Hair Coloring You Do At Home, I was thinking of temporarily going red, or at least reddish. The book outlines techniques such as bleaching, hair chalking, and Henna, among others. I don’t see myself adding hair dye to my hair anytime soon, but I will definitely try a Henna application process similar to the one outlined in the book. I’d be interested to know, have you ever tried henna hair dye? As much as I like the bright tones of the inspiration photos above, I’d go for a much more subtle look in reality. Maybe a reddish tone that is only apparent in direct sunlight (like the top right photo). I’ll keep you guys posted if I feel inspired to try something more dramatic!
What do you think: Yay or Nay to red? And are you planning any hair changes this Spring?
