Farewell November, Hello December! Hope you had a nice weekend (and if it was a long one for you that you enjoyed the extra days off!).  I commend you if you’ve already started your holiday preparation and shopping already.  All I’ve done is a lot of online window shopping and Googling for Christmas cookie recipes…But I’ll definitely make up for that for the remainder of the week.  Do you have a favorite Christmas cookie recipe?  I’m still searching for inspiration.

Despite my short stature, I love midi length skirts.  I hope they don’t go out of style anytime soon.  Who am I kidding, I would wear them anyway…this one in particular is a year-round favorite. I totally wear it during the winter with boots and sweaters too.  Three cheers for multi-season clothing!

Every so often I have the feeling that “I don’t have anything to wear” which I admit is clearly not true because I have a closet full of clothing. When these “feelings” occur, I typically reach for a well loved favorite like this denim shirt. It considerably dresses down my dress [previously worn here] to make it more appropriate for daytime.  I don’t believe in owning clothing that isn’t versatile, so it’s good to remember sometimes that it’s easy to change a look with one simple addition.

Happy Monday!  I never thought I would be one to favor cut-off denim shorts (or really shorts in general), but this pair is so comfy, that they will definitely get a lot of wear for the remainder of the spring and all of summer.  Here’s to a positive and productive week!

I held off for a long time on buying a denim shirt but now realize it’s a staple I definitely plan to get a lot of use out of in the upcoming months.  As much as I love prints and colors, basic, highly remixable pieces like denim are sometimes called for.
